Brief Guide - What participating in LOCOMOTION involves

To help potential participants understand what participating in LOCOMOTION involves, our team created a short video (below). This brief guide explains what the research is about, what activities people can be involved in, and what happens if they want to get involved. The video also explains what the Participant Information Sheet is.

Development of the Guide

There are multiple 'work packages' in the LOCOMOTION study that Long COVID patients can participate in. So, in the LOCOMOTION Long COVID clinics patients may receive multiple Participant Informant Sheets, one for each work package. To make this process more patient friendly, a 'Brief Guide' leaflet (below) was created. This was then converted into a video (above), on Renderforest, for people to access the information in a different format.

These were created by LOCOMOTION team members, Cassie Lee (Clinical Research Fellow), Rachel Lardner (Clinical Research Fellow), and Thomas Osborne (Project Manager). As always within the study, there was also input from our Patient Advisory Group (PAG). Once the initial drafts were created, PAG members provided valuable feedback from a patient perspective to help improve the video and the leaflet.
