Date

The collaboration between ELAROS 24/7 Limited and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust won an Innovate Award in the category Outstanding Collaboration with Industry, in the new awards from the Academic Health Science Networks (AHSN) and NHS Confederation. Presented at an award ceremony attended by almost 400 NHS leaders, innovators and partners.

ELAROS are one of the technology partners in the LOCOMOTION study. The award was won for their work creating the world’s first validated digital system for the initial assessment, triage, management, monitoring, and rehabilitation of patients with Long COVID. This digital system hosts the COVID-19 Yorkshire Rehabilitation Scale (C19-YRS) questionnaire which was co-developed with patients, by The University of Leeds, Leeds Long COVID Rehab team, and ELAROS. Further details of the C19-YRS are available in this ACNR article.

Workstream 2.2 of the LOCOMOTION study aims to collect data from C19-YRS and a core set of outcome measures, to enable final development and complete psychometric testing of the C19-YRS. Preliminary psychometric testing revealed promising results suggesting that the C19-YRS is a valuable outcome measure and it is recommended for routine use in Long COVID clinics by the latest NHS England clinical guidance for all Long COVID clinics in England.
