Date

Recruitment to the LOCOMOTION Long COVID study reached 1713 in December!Chart showing LOCOMOTION recruitment from start of the study to December 2022

Recruitment has slowed in the last few months, but we hope recruitment will be boosted by some changes. These include, the addition of Work Package (WP) 2.3, NHS Highland joining as a site, and new recruitment methods for WP2.1. Also, more sites are using the ELAROS app clinically and study extension to 31/12/2023 is imminent.

  • Welcome - NHS Highland in Scotland has joined the study as a clinical site. Their team includes; Lorna Murray (Principal Investigator), Rowena Cooper (Research Fellow), and Linda Currie (Long COVID Service Clinical Lead).
  • Congratulations - Ghazala Mir (WP1.3 Lead) has been promoted to Professor of Health Equity and Inclusion at the University of Leeds.
