LOCOMOTION Webinar - An Ethnographic Study of MDTs in Long Covid Clinics & A Quality Improvement Collaborative for Long Covid
As part of the LOCOMOTION Long COVID Study webinar series, on 2nd July 2024, we hosted webinar titled 'An Ethnographic Study of MDTs in Long Covid Clinics & A Quality Improvement Collaborative for Long Covid'.
Prof Trish Greenhalgh presented:
- Building working knowledge in the digital space: An ethnographic study of multidisciplinary teams in long covid clinics
- A quality improvement collaborative for long covid: Building the boat as we sailed it
These presentations were based on our research exploring the evidence behind what clinics and GPs should do in terms of investigation and treatment for Long COVID, that began as a Quality Improvement Collaborative to establish best practice. Further ethnographic work was conducted to explore the reason for variation in practice in long covid services.
The team have publications currently in review, in relation to this work, but one paper has already been published in BMC Medicine - What is quality in long covid care? Lessons from a national quality improvement collaborative and multi-site ethnography (https://doi.org/10.1186/s12916-024-03371-6)
