Petition from Long COVID Groups
Some of the LOCOMOTION Patient Advisory Group (PAG) members are active members of the Long Covid Groups, who form a Core Participant in the UK Covid-19 Inquiry (Long Covid Support, Long Covid SOS, Long Covid Kids, Long Covid Physio).
With former Prime Minister Boris Johnson scheduled to provide evidence at the Inquiry on the 6th and 7th December, the Long Covid groups will be delivering a letter to No.10 Downing Street on Wednesday 6th December, urging attention to the unique challenges faced by those with Long Covid. As Long Covid is one of the most catastrophic consequences of the pandemic and it deserves a prominent place in the discussions during this critical phase of the inquiry.
In the letter they propose a 5-step strategy, three of which relate directly to research.
