LOCOMOTION CI joins WHO COVID-19 meeting in Tel Aviv

The World Health Organisation (WHO) European Regional Meeting in Tel Aviv discussed the region's health services response to Post-COVID-19 condition / Long COVID. There are >17 million individuals with the condition in the region (53 member countries) with a varied level of response from health services across the countries. Manoj Sivan (LOCOMOTION Co-CI), who has served as an advisor to WHO Europe on COVID-19 rehabilitation policy throughout the pandemic, presented the UK's response and ongoing research on the condition in Leeds and nationwide (including the LOCOMOTION study). The panel concluded an urgent need for integrated care pathways to manage the multisystem condition, highlighting a multidisciplinary rehabilitation approach. A detailed WHO report is to follow.
